Nested among ancient dunes, Longitude 131° is a gathering of sixteen tented pavilions where sanctuary and a profound sense of place arrive together. The welcome open spaces of the central Dune House include a restaurant and bar with ever-changing views of the monolith as a backdrop for dining as well as lounging areas in contemporary campaign style, ideal for relaxing with an icy drink and exchanging stories of the day’s adventures in the outback.


What to do:


This afternoon excursion takes place just 18kms outside of Alice Springs at Simpsons Gap, a natural wonder that explodes with colour as the sun sets, making it is the perfect spot to paint with watercolours! In this workshop you will learn the basics of watercolour painting in a series of exercises designed to help you to loosen up and have fun.


Discover the unique birds, plants and animals of Alice Springs Desert Park on a self-guided tour. Get up close with dingos, wander through the kangaroo enclosure and listen to fascinating presentations. Park entry includes access to talks, walking trails, the world's largest nocturnal house and more.
